Federal Court penalised attempted cartel conduct in the banking sector

The Federal Court imposed multi-million dollar penalties on Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (AU$ 9 million) and Macquarie Bank (AU$ 6 million) for attempting to influence the benchmark rate for the Malaysian ringgit (MYR).
